Lead Game Designer (f/m/x)

Your tasks

As our Lead Game Designer (f/m/x) you are responsible for planning, designing, balancing & documentation of feature development of live and upcoming game mobile F2P titles. You will be leading a team of designers to manage the active portfolio of live (custom engine) and new products (Unity). You will work directly with C-Level management to identify development direction and present your growth goals for the company’s products.
Excellent craft skills are required to work as a role model hands on with RTS / Economic gameplay & monetisation. Your responsibilities include:

Craft Leadership: Spearhead the design quality and organizational maturity within Bytros Game Design craft. This includes enhancing the quality of design team outputs, creating processes / structures & taking responsibility for work results.

Talent Pool Management: Maintain a robust Talent Pool to meet the team's demands in volume and quality. Responsibilities include onboarding, personal and career development, training, and staffing Craft Pool Members to product teams.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other stakeholders (like analysis or marketing) to align the evolution of the Game Design craft with the company’s portfolio strategy and product goals.

Game Design Evolution: Lead the decision-making process regarding the evolution of the Game Design craft within Bytro. This involves working with Designers and making strategic decisions (including monetization) based on company needs.

Your profile

Customer-centric mindset with a passion for great games.
Understanding of economical processes and knowledge of the gaming market, especially mobile.
Several years of experience as lead designer or equivalent with demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow a design team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent understanding of economic game balancing and multiplayer RTS design as well as of f2p monetisation methodologies and strong analytics driven mindset.
Excellent excel / sheets macro knowledge to build design tools and simulate gameplay topics
Fluent in English, with effective communication
Strong problem-solving skills and people management abilities.
Empathy and high emotional intelligence for effective team and project management.
Understanding of economical processes and knowledge of the gaming market, especially mobile.
Monetisation / Pricing Experience is a big plus
