THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Senior Buyer for the Premium Textile Category, you are leading a high performing and driven team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion whilst delivering strong results. You will be handling strategic brands such as Gant, Diesel, Guess and K-Way. You enjoy team leadership and people development, as you will oversee a team of two Buyers and one Assistant Buyer.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED …
You will be responsible for the strategic and creative direction of your unit, sourcing new brands, negotiating the best terms for Zalando whilst you keep our existing suppliers happy. You will manage key strategic brands and relationships with your overall portfolio across both wholesale and platform business models.
You will shape the strategic direction of your unit, taking into account the Zalando and Premium strategy, your customer profile, trends and your competitive landscape. You know KPIs and collaborate with the merchandising team to plan the budget and OTB to monitor and review the performance of your unit.
You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximize profit and exchanging with other departments like Content, Marketing and Production are key to your work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization.
You will lead, develop and nurture a high performing team as the unit lead. You display strong leadership skills and are a role model for the Zalando Founding Mindset
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF …
You have experience in working for a fast paced e-commerce retailing business and relevant buying experience at a similar senior level, ideally working with international commercial and designer brands.
You are a strong leader who will manage a team. You will be reporting into the Team Lead Buying. You love developing people, training and acting as a role model for the team.
You are passionate about fashion and a market expert for trend focused brands with a European view of the latest trends.
Your excellent analytical skills put you on top of the class and you love working with numbers to validate your gut instinct buying decisions and take risks.
Negotiation is in your blood, you have mastered both written and spoken negotiations. You display strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, both with internal and external stakeholders.
