Field Application Engineer (f/m/div)

Job description
In your new role you will:
  • Contribute to the development of modern electronic systems and their implementation in the innovative automotive market
  • Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in Europe, with a focus on Microcontroller (AURIX, Traveo and PSoC) as well as complete applications/systems
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support for customer product designs and platforms
  • Work proactively on optimized solutions for our customer’s applications together with the entire European FAE Team, Account Managers and Product/Application Experts
  • Prepare and execute customer presentations and product/application trainings
  • Support our customers in the system design, the software development and during the evaluation of our products
  • Validate the application on-site together with the customer
  • Discuss innovative applications with the customer development teams and collaborate with our development departments and Marketing teams
  • Travel regularly in Germany and Europe on demand 
Your profile
Besides your technical skills, we are looking for a team player with excellent communication capabilities and who loves interaction with people. You gained already deep experience in Hardware and Software design and beside that, you are interested in new Microcontroller-/ system concepts and innovations in the automotive market. Furthermore, you like to share your knowledge and experience with your customers and colleagues. Additionally, it is required to act on one’s own initiative, evaluate chances and risks carefully and be willing to go for the extra mile from time to time.

Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar field
  • Min. 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Specific knowledge in Microcontroller, ideally in Aurix and/or ARM based Traveo, PSoC Microcontroller as well as other components like PMICs, transceivers, Gate drivers
  • Significant experience in (automotive) applications and deep system understanding
  • Developed C/C++ programs in embedded applications, incl. low-level driver development for the on-chip peripherals
  • Experience with ECU layouts and PCB designs is an advantage
  • Proactive and autonomous behavior, as well as analytical capabilities and complex situation solving skills
  • Fluency in English & German
