Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with BA experience who can operate independently and take accountability for driving and leading automation of quality assurance as part of the Intelligence Engineering Platforms (IEP) Pillar under Enterprise Data & Analytics (eDnA) Organization. As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services through automated testing strategies. The role includes leading and innovating to ensure product quality, developing both manual and automated tests, and maintaining them. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, monitoring the performance of Intelligent Automation systems, and managing complex projects deliverables. You will also create and document test strategies and plans, develop test scripts using automation tools, and perform database testing.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and innovate to ensure product and integration quality.
• Influence the quality strategy for products, including both manual and automated testing.
• Identify, define and document manual and automated test strategies, plans & scripts for DW and Power BI using requirement documentation, wireframes, and comps.
• Ensure the quality, reusability, and maintainability of automation code through reviews and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a quality culture and a proactive approach to finding defects.
• Work with architects, product owners, and analysts to understand requirements and develop robust testing suites.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to the QA team.
• Advocate for practices that advance Continuous Delivery & Continuous Improvement.
• Design and develop test scripts using automation tools like Selenium WebDriver/UI Path, Azure Test Plan, iCEDQ, QuerySurge, etc.
• Maintain test traceability and reusability for regression cycles.
• Lead defect triage meetings and defect replication/analysis.
• Log, track, monitor & perform RCA for defects logged in tools like testrail, devops.
• Monitor the performance of Intelligent Automation systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance and update existing automation solutions.
• Generate reports on system performance, issue resolution, and automation efficiency.
• Perform key engineering tasks such as detailed design, interface definition, data mapping, CI/CD pipeline integration, and SME support.
• Ensure automation solutions comply with security and compliance standards.
• Establish milestones for sprints and releases to deliver solutions to prioritized requirements.
• Proficient in Agile techniques and implement test methodologies.
• Validate APIs using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, REST services.
• Participate in Paired Programming with the Engineering team to shift the test cycle earlier in the sprint.
• Regularly interact with Business UAT/Product Owners/Scrum Masters during the sprint cycle.

Qualifications

• Software Quality Assurance Testing:
o 8-10 years of experience in test scenario and test case design, development, and maintenance.
o 5+ years of automation testing experience, including defining and implementing automation test strategies.
• Manual Testing:
o Minimum of 4 years of experience in manual functional and end-to-end testing, with a focus on Data Quality and Analytics.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in one or more programming languages, software engineering methodologies, and technologies.
o Familiarity with software quality automation tools for data warehouses, such as Azure Test Plan, iCEDQ, and QuerySurge.
o Experience with major cloud platforms like Auzre, AWS, GCP etc.
o Proficient in data warehouse testing using SQL, Python, Azure Data factory, Informatica etc.
o Familiarity with Version control tools like Git, BitBucket etc.
o Exposure to continuous testing tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with software development and automated testing techniques.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into test strategies and test cases.
o Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build solid relationships with team members.
