We are looking for a Senior Termination Lead to join our team in Leer, Germany or Aberdeen, UK on a full-time, staff basis.

The Senior Termination Lead is responsible for the management of all termination equipment setups for projects in alignment with the subcontractor’s provided items to complete Termination work scopes throughout all S7 projects. Your core responsibility is to provide early on support to project engineering teams by reviewing termination procedures or attending any trainings or mock-ups planned by project teams, as well as assessment of subcontractor personnel’s quality of good workmanship through trade tests.

In alignment with project requirements, you will be in charge of developing the detailed Termination equipment setup for projects and will ensure that adequate arrangements are in place with T&T subcontractor’s provided materials and own materials where required.

For S7’s own equipment you will be preparing cost assessments to allow evaluation of current and potential future equipment setups to improve the overall efficiency and reliability of T&T activities for S7 projects.

In your role you will liaise closely with the engineers, subcontractors and warehouse to plan, procure and prepare T&T equipment for mobilisations with a standardised equipment concept to reduce overall preparation times as well as logistical documentation.

 

What you will be doing

  • Completing internal document checks (IDC) of Electrical Engineering Procedures and Scope of Works as CID
  • Technical and operational support with field issues during execution
  • Implementing and improving Standard ITPs for Cable Termination activities together with Electrical Engineering/Quality
  • Maintaining the LL process from Cable Termination Operations and feeding improvements back into CID processes
  • Arrange or attend training events and routine training for T&T supervisors and subcontractors
  • Standardisation of equipment/tooling concepts for Termination activities and build-up of own termination equipment assets for S7 going forward
  • Participate in T&T design and scope reviews from projects and support technical queries for operations as CID

 

What you will bring to the team

  • Detailed technical knowledge of Inter Array Grid Test & Termination activities and tools for 33 and 66kV offshore windfarms
  • Experience with Test and Termination activities for OWF export cables greater or equal to 120kV
  • Previous experience working with Medium and High Voltage in a similar offshore/onshore environment
  • Previous work experience in a T&T Operations Manager/Supervisor or trainer position
  • Extensive Termination experience with 33kV and 66kV installations of termination products from different manufacturers (Pfisterer/TE/Nexans/NKT) and above.
  • Electrical engineer or Electrical Competent/ Skilled Person as per BS7671, EN50110 or national equivalent
  • Willingness to temporarily conduct short offshore trips for familiarisation of T&T work teams with equipment setups when necessary
  • Professional communicator with multiple stakeholders from management to operational level
