System Engineer, Project Manager (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for the technical implementation and project management of complex, customer-specific UHV measurement systems adapted to the latest state of research. This means that in close contact with our customers you will:

• in the technical clarification, translate the experimental requirement into a system design and coordinate with the design department on the technical realization,
• assume planning responsibility for system implementation and drive these system projects forward,
• arrange the procurement of the material,
• support and supervise the assembly of the systems in production,
• carry out the in-house tests of the systems and the factory acceptance tests with the customers, if necessary, prior to delivery
• and install and commission the equipment in the customer's laboratory.
• Typically, you will be training our customers on the operation of the equipment.

• You have a degree in natural sciences or engineeering (university/technical college) (e.g. physics, chemistry or comparable), ideally with a doctorate. You are enthusiastic about solving technical problems and bring a keen interest in experimental photoelectron spectroscopy on surfaces. You have gained experience in UHV technology and feel comfortable in a technically challenging, customer-oriented environment.
• You enjoy working in a team and are also very self-organized and goal-oriented.
• You appreciate gaining international experience during your worldwide customer assignments, being able to see a lot of the world while working closely with our customers.
• You are able to work under pressure and have good communication skills.
• Good to very good written and spoken English as well as an intercultural interest complete your profile.
• Preferably have previous project management experience.
