About the Role: We are looking for a Vascular - Regional Product Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the portfolio of products across the Vascular Business in South Asia Pacific with the potential for support in other regions. This may include support of current commercial products such as GORE® EXCLUDER® AAA Endoprosthesis, GORE® TAG® Conformable Thoracic Stent Graft with ACTIVE CONTROL System, GORE® VIABAHN® VBX Balloon Expandable Endoprosthesis (VBX Stent Graft) and GORE® VIABAHN® Endoprosthesis as well as others. In addition, you will be tasked with supporting the approval and adoption of new products and technologies within the region. In this role, you will ensure fitness for use for the various products and will develop winning product strategies that engage a cross-functional team including, sales, marketing, operations, clinical affairs, regulatory, and business.

  

This role can be based in any location on the east coast of Australia.

  

Responsibilities: 
  • Focus on device fitness for use – ensuring device safety and efficacy in diverse applications and educational and promotional activities are consistent with product labeling
  • Develop and maintain high technical competence and knowledge (including competition and application) through direct experience, customer interaction, and clinical literature
  • Develop winning regional product strategies in support of global strategies and business objectives
  • Build relationships with customers including clinicians and economic buyers
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations and rapid resolution of product surveillance issues
  • Develop and support product training for physician customers and field sales associates
  • Partner with Strategic Marketing partner to develop and execute on regional product launches
  • Influence regional value pricing throughout the product life cycle
  • Collaborate to develop regional forecasts and investments in support of long-term profitability goals; anticipate and respond to regional market challenges and opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with physician customers including end users and economic buyers; provide technical or clinical support to field sales associates and customers 
  • Support product training through the development delivery of content

      

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role in the medical device industry, including clinical experience and deep product expertise 
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel)
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating, influencing and leading cross functional teams
  • Experience in reading and interpreting scientific or clinical publications and data 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills 
  • Passion for driving commercial product strategies in competitive markets
  • Deep understanding of the Australian & New Zealand medical device regulatory and reimbursement environment
  • Ability to travel extensively (50%) including international travel  

  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, science or medicine
  • Advanced knowledge of the treatment of Aortic and Peripheral Vascular disease
  • Experience in the entire product life cycle of medical devices 
  • Experience working within a product specialist/product management function
