Senior Staff Product Application Engineer for Communication of Automotive Microcontroller (f/m/div)

Job description
In your new role you will:
  • Become a member of a specialized application engineering team for enabling latest automotive microcontroller communication interfaces ideally with focus on Ethernet. Experience with other communication technologies like CAN-FD/XL, Flexray would be a plus.
  • Support design-in at our customers with detailed product expertise of Infineon’s 32bit AURIX microcontrollers
  • Act as third level customer support within our communication cluster of our complex microcontroller products
  • Give technical direction to in-house R&D as “voice of the customer” to improve product and technical documentation
  • Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D, Validation, Verification and Production Test teams
  • Review and release technical documentation in cooperation with global teams
  • Conduct feasibility, benchmarking and development studies for embedded automotive solutions, covering concept studies, software requirements and hardware aspects
  • Perform lab testing on system level to debug communication related customer problems, validate their concepts and develop basic examples to showcase features of our solutions
  • Develop and conduct trainings and workshops in your area of technical expertise for Field Application Engineers or customers

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar field
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience related to embedded projects with experience in Communication in embedded microcontrollers
  • Ability in guiding complex problems to a solution by technically advising teams and consolidating their deliveries
  • Experience in dealing with customers and working as interface between internal R&D and external partners
  • Know how about AURIX, AUTOSAR and low-level software drivers for microcontrollers and their peripherals
  • Advanced skills in C/++ programming and also in other languages like Python, being able to debug customer software
  • Joy in travelling for work at least once in a while 
  • Fluent English skills, German would be desired
