Who will you be joining?

Group Accounting & Reporting provides reliable, high quality financial information to management, investors, analysts, regulators and the general public through internal and external reporting. As Team Lead Accounting & Reporting Allianz Direct in Group Accounting & Reporting you will be part of the department Accounting and Closing Allianz SE.

The Accounting and Closing Allianz Direct team is responsible for all internal and external accounting, closing and reporting requirements of the AZ SE subsidiary Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG under IFRS, HGB and Solvency II. The team's responsibilities range from preparing monthly, quarterly and annual closings, providing accounting policy guidance and analyzing financial data to preparing the presentation of results and reporting of financial information to various internal and external stakeholders, such as Management, Supervisors, Auditors and the Public.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Be responsible for preparing the HGB annual financial statements as well as the regulatory reporting (such as RSR, SFCR, QRTs), incl. the compilation of the Solvency II MVBS of the legal entity AZ Direct Versicherungs-AG.
  • Be responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings under IFRS and Solvency II of Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG as an Allianz operating entity as well as the respective IFRS and MVBS & Solvency II reporting to AZ Group.
  • Support the annual financial planning process of the entity.
  • Ensure a smooth communication and collaboration with AZ Direct Management as well as the overall high-quality delivery of the provided accounting, closing and reporting services.
  • Be supported by a team of 6 FTEs for which you will have disciplinary responsibility.

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree - preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics
  • Excellent technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent written and conversational skills in German and English
  • Multiple years of professional experience (5+) in the fields of accounting, finance or financial reporting area, ideally in the (re)insurance sector
  • Profound HGB, IFRS and Solvency II accounting skills
  • Solid experience with accounting systems, ideally SAP
  • Proactive approach and hands-on mentality
  • Open-minded and motivated team player, highly organized and very well structured
  • High resilience and the talent to keep a cool head even in turbulent situations, high result orientation
  • Highly organized and very well structured, excellent analytical skills
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in people management and leading a team is a strong plus
