Your role.

• You are responsible for technology media relations for Siemens AG, this includes relevant technology and research and development (R&D) topics
• You formulate the global innovation & technology communications strategy, ensure alignment and governance with the company’s overall communications and influencer relations strategies by collaborating closely with communications departments in global functions at Siemens AG and the Technology communications team and the relevant Technology contacts in Germany and the regions
• You deliver press support for the Chief Technology Officer with focus on Europe, Middle East and Africa, key areas include coordination, development of communication strategies and communication around R&D and core technologies
• Also you deliver general press work in terms of preparation, implementation and follow-up of press events, press meetings and interviews
• Further, you prepare documents and statements for media work and public appearances, including press releases, social media posts, development of briefings and key messages as well as follow-up of activities and present current press topics to other communications departments
• You evaluate current and potential business activities from a communications perspective and identify relevant R&D topics and proactive placement

Your profile.

• You have many years of professional experience in communications or corporate messaging in a large global listed institution or a communications consultancy or agency in media relations and/or corporate communications and communications strategy
• Also, you have experience in advising senior management on strategic topics and issues management.
• Outstanding written (including editing and proofreading), spoken and presenting language skills with the talent to summarize complicated and complex issues in a simple and understandable way in German and English
• Strong network in tech media and a solid understanding and command of digitalization of communications (social media, blogging platforms, etc.)
• You are able to work with, handle and persuade partners across all functional areas of Siemens and across countries and cultures
• Experience in project management and able to impact and navigate across all levels in a highly complex, matrix environment
• Experienced in working under pressure with tight deadlines, in a fast-paced a multifaceted environment, and taking effective decisions in accordance with established procedures
• Integrative personality and strong teammate with persistence and driven to deliver results by also by taking a proactive medium and consideration of long-term view of business goals and objectives, and strong organizational skills
• Highly principled character who adheres to strict ethical and compliance standards, particularly around the handling of sensitive information
• Formal qualifications: university degree or equivalent, further education in the field of communications or change is desired
