Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Genomics (m/f/d)

Ihre Aufgaben:

• Design and implement cutting-edge research projects in translational genomics
• Identify new vulnerabilities in BAP1-mutant cancers by functional genomics
• Evaluate drugs in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo in patient-derived organoids as preclinical models of uveal melanoma and renal cell carcinoma
• Ensure a high level of animal welfare and work to improve the quality of life of laboratory animals
• Project management, execution, analysis and publication of translational cancer genomics results

Ihr Profil:

• Successfully completed Diploma or master degree and a PhD in a biomedical or life science subject
• Demonstrated scientific productivity
• Strong background in working with mouse models. An accredited animal handling course is desirable, but not a requirement (FELASA B)
• Experience in cell biology work (cultivation of cell lines and/or organoids), as well as in general molecular biology techniques, such as isolation of nucleic acids, cloning, western blotting, qPCR and ChIP
• A responsible work style, organizational skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team are required
• Knowledge of common computer applications and documentation according to Good Scientific Practice are necessary
• Expertise in genomic analyses, such as single-cell sequencing, is a plus, but not a requirement
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
