CFO (m/f/d)

leading a corporate technology startup to financial success

Holistic responsibility to develop and manage all finance-related topics in a rapidly growing, fast-pasted corporate startup with a unique product. Full responsibility as a Managing Director and close alignment with the investors.

Your Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develop and manage all finance-related topics, spanning across controlling, accounting, funding, treasury, tax and stakeholder management
  • Act as an active member of the management board with full responsibility of a managing director, technical and organic management and change, reporting, as well as representing the company to third parties and investors
  • Develop and implement a finance and controlling strategy and its execution for the various phases of a start-up company through to regular business operations
  • Monitor the business case, investment planning, project controlling (pre- and post-calculation), risk management, budgeting, cash and liquidity management and financial reporting
  • Analyzing performance on the basis of financial and, where applicable, non-financial key figures, deriving implications/recommendations for action and implementation or monitoring of implementations
  • Manage all finance-related aspects in the context of funding rounds/ investor searches, incl. collaboration on the equity story, preparation and presentation of the necessary figures, preparation of due diligence processes (incl. data rooms) and taking an active role in identifying and approaching investors
  • Support and collaborate closely with the centrally managed accounting, treasury and tax departments. That includes responsibility for financial statements, auditing processes, cash management, hedging topics and tax issues

Your Profile

  • You successfully completed technical or business studies and graduated with M.Sc. / M.A. with above average results. MBA and/or Ph.D. is a plus
  • You have minimum 5 years of leadership experience (Director or equivalent) and min. 7 years of experience in finance & controlling
  • You show a well-developed understanding of financial processes with a deep-dive in controlling and business development. Experience in building controlling functions “from scratch” is a plus.
  • You have gained experience in the mobility or automotive sector or a start-up (beneficial) and possess a solid understanding of development and manufacturing processes.
  • A track-record in strategy consulting (Tier-1 or Tier-2), investment banking, venture capital or private equity is mandatory
  • You are business fluent in English. German language skills are a definite plus
