To support our Supply Chain EMEA department in Munich, we are currently looking for a

(Senior) Director Supply Chain EMEA (f/m/d)

The (Senior) Director of Supply Chain EMEA, will be the strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain process within our EMEA organization. The role is crucial in ensuring the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of our supply chain operations. The (Senior) Director of Supply Chain EMEA will lead multiple functions and work closely with our global headquarter, EMEA subsidiaries, various internal departments, suppliers as well as distributors to streamline processes, minimize costs, and maximize the value of our supply chain network.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the supply chain processes within the EMEA organization.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Supervise supplier management in collaboration with global supply chain leadership, including management of supplier relationships, contract negotiation and continuous assessment of supplier performance and implementation of improvement plans.
  • Oversee inventory levels, forecasting and demand planning to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain and ensure customer-oriented communication and timely processing of all customer-related queries.
  • Manage centralized distribution centers, warehouses, loaner and workshop departments.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with departments such as global manufacturing, operations, sales, product management and finance to align supply chain activities and manage the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions, such as natural disasters, geo-political events, or supplier issues.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in supply chain management and logistics, with a track record of progressively responsible roles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP (preferably SAP) systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and developing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in an international environment and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Business proficiency in English and German, another European language is an advantage.
