Job Summary

The person in this role will have hands-on responsibilities for developing and maintaining our test automation tools, working across teams to perpetually improve our CI/CD pipeline, and designing, developing, and maintaining our API test frameworks. We expect this person to be an excellent automation engineer who can work independently and should be able to learn the existing code & architecture quickly. 

Job Requirements

Thorough understanding and experience with building orchestration on at least one of the major hyper-scaler cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) 

Create and maintain test plans and test cases using Excel. 

Experience with all standard testing such as UI, Regression, Integration, and Functional testing.  

Hands-on exp in AWS experience needed certification preferred. 

Develop and maintain Test Automation for Regression Testing 

Ability to query and understand complex to simple SQL dB queries to verify data or make configuration changes. 

In-depth knowledge of API testing manual and automated 

Build API automated tests using automation frameworks (SoapUI, Postman, or ReadyAPI) 

Good knowledge of response errors or ability to identify and troubleshoot through Browser testing utilizing web tools. 

Investigate and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. 

Advocate for the QA process for all content released on our platforms. 

Knowledge of mature Agile process and operations ceremonies and willingness to be vocal in all ceremonies 

Education

B.E/B. Tech or M.S in Computer Science or related technical field 

4+ years of solid experience in Test Planning & design of Back-end API Testing for different Business/Technical Scenarios 

Practical experience in executing Integration, System, and Regression testing of API calls between Server and client. 

Experienced with Cloud service APIs (e.g., AWS, Azure or GCP) 

Hands-on experience in Container-based technologies, preferably Kubernetes & Dockers. 

Ability to work collaboratively within a team of engineers. 

Passionate for learning the latest testing technologies, tools, and frameworks
