Senior Director, Group Actuarial Projects – 27563

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Group Actuarial Department. The candidate play a lead role in the continued success of their Actuarial Projects team. Their primary responsibility will be to contribute to key projects such as M&A due diligence or adoption of new regulatory requirements. The candidate will have the opportunity to help develop a vibrant and dynamic Group Actuarial team.

Overview

Key Contribution Areas

  • Lead analysis of regulatory opportunities and challenges
  • Lead implementation of new regulatory requirements such as BMA EBS Enhancements or ICS
  • Carry out M&A Due Diligence work, challenge assumptions and analyse impacts on key Group metrics
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other Group functions

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified and experienced actuary with demonstrable experience in a senior role
  • Very strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations
  • Strong understanding of European life insurance markets

Experience required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including business and functional requirements, management level presentations and proposals, and the ability to explain complex ideas and principles to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience in M&A due diligence
  • Ability to lead cross departmental projects
