Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • Numerical simulation of the dynamics of rail vehicles (multibody simulation, finite element, etc.)
  • Preparation, conduct and analysis of measurement campaigns on rail vehicles (e.g. vehicle dynamics, acoustic, energy consumption, etc.)
  • Programming of scripts and tools for the simulation processes and the analysis of simulation and measurement results
  • Acquisition, controlling, coordination, and work of third-party funded projects

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) with focus on rail vehicle technology
  • Experience with simulation technology in the rail vehicle sector (esp. MKS with the software Simpack and/or FEM with the software Ansys)
  • Very good programming skills in Python/Matlab
  • Very good command of German and English required; willingness to learn either German or English is expected
  • Very good communication skills, initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team
