HR Specialist - HL Terminal Holding

The Challenge

We are a leading player in the container terminal industry and are seeking an enthusiastic HR Specialist to join our newly established Rotterdam headquarters, who enjoys handling a diverse range of HR tasks. You are expected to act as a business partner for our management. Preferably with experience in the strategic approach in the whole set-up of business and organisations including defining HR policies. You should be able to seamlessly switch between interactions with both employees and managers from different kind of backgrounds and levels. We are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible, and determined, and who enjoys working collaboratively to achieve tangible results.

Your Responsibilities

As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for actively implementing and improving HR policies within our organization. Some of your responsibilities include:

• Business Partner for the Executive Management team;
• Develop and implement HR policies;
• Assist in developing organisational design;
• Strategic approach and experienced in business set-up;
• Experience with succession planning;
• Select, recruit and onboard new employees;
• Responsible for the expatriate management process;
• Manage the SLA overseeing payroll and process personnel administrative changes;
• Ensure clear communication to the business about all HR activities;

Your Profile

• Preferably you have at least 10 years of work experience within HR;
• Self-initiated and able to work with minimum supervision;
• Hands-on;
• Possess cultural awareness;
• You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in HRM or a related field;
• You have strong communication skills;
• Experience in hiring expatriates and knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations;
• Strong command of MS office;
• Knowledge of (Dutch) social legislation and labor law;
• Excellent command of Dutch and English - English is the main language within the company;
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
