Quality Management Trucks Asia is a responsible mainly for ensuring quality standards according to both external and internal regulations, delivering quality issue-preventive measures related to parts, components and entire vehicles, as well improving quality processes and the ensuring all time high quality-focus / mindset of all employees. Quality Management applies modern cloud based data analytics and connectivity solutions for failure prediction and accelerated resolution process. The area of responsibility is a long the value chain from Engineering until the end consumer of the products.

■ Primary objectives:

1. Proactive Sensing:
　Maintain and improve the QM Big data analytics system (Proactive Sensing) and add new use cases beyond warranty cost reduction
2. Connected Data Analytics:
　Maintain the QM Connected Data Lake and perform analytics on Connected Data to provide new insigths into the vehicle behavior to help in early identification of field issues
3. QM Analytics:
　Collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders to generate new use cases based on big data analytics
4. Data Scientist:
　Ensure complaince with Daimler data governance requirements for QM data analytics solutions as a data scientist and collaborate with other functions in MFTBC to use big data

  

■ Your responsibilities

1. Advanced data analytics and data modelling for specific QM use cases

　　　a. maintenance and improve QM Data lake and related solution "Proactive Sensing solution"
　　　b. Connected Data Analytics to support issue investigation and resolution process
　　　c. Understand business data needs and provide right data to improve product and process quality

       2. Project Management (Project, Product,Vendor)

        a. Lead Proactive Sensing solution maintenance with help of support team
        b. Overall project management (SCRUM) for new use case developments
        c. Documentation and Knowledge Repo maintenance 

      3. New data analytics use case development and digitalization of QM processes

        a. New use case development - Ideation, proposal, development and implementation
        b. Generic reports automation - work with business users to improve digitalization in QM

      4. Data governance for data analytics solution

        a. Understand and implement Daimler data governance requirements for QM solutions
        b. Ensure third party vendors are working as per data processing on behalf agreement
        c. Monitor and steer data deletion concepts for QM data analytics use cases

      5. Data analytics community member within MFTBC

        a. Actively contribute as data scientist and steward - Interaction with other departments for collaboration on data analytics
        b. Interaction with IT on technical aspects of the Data Lake

      6. International Collaboration for Data Analytics

        a. Collaboration with other Daimler Truck entities on technical aspects of analytics, data handling and data processing

        7. Cost Management

          a. Monitor and control run cost for QM Data Analytics solutions. 

        8. Mentoring

          a. Mentoring other stakeholders in DTA on their way to utilize big data

■ Job Experience

    

• Hands on experience as Big Data Engineer for atleast 3 years 
• Experience of working as Data Scientist 
• Working experience on Project management methodology such as SCRUM

 

 ■ Practical Knowledge

   

• Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent degree in technical education
  Certificate in Big Data Analytics, Scrum project management, data engineering etc.
• In depth understanding of statistical techniques e.g. Regression Analysis, Classification Analysis, and tools Tableau, R
  Big Data: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, DataBricks, Oozie
  Other Programming Languages and Tools: Java, SQL, Scripting (Shell, Batch, Powershell), MS Access, Excel

- English    : business level
