Introduction of Operations 

 

 We at the operations department take care of all necessary stages to build and deliver our trucks and buses.
This starts and ends with the department “Supply Chain Management” which ensures that every part from our global supplier network is delivered within the right quantity, quality and time. This guarantees that the finished truck or bus is shipped to our customers in perfect condition.
Our top quality products are produced by the highly qualified workers in our production department, who take care of the engine, transmission and vehicle assembly and the subsequent quality check.
Our state of the art work environment is build and maintained by the Technical Services Operations Department to make our plant the benchmark factory in the commercial vehicle industry - The Factory of the Future! The required robots and automated systems are researched and implemented by our manufacturing engineering team. Lastly, TOS (Truck Operating System) guarantees continuous improvement and efficiency increase in all areas we serve.

 

Job Description

 

• Your mission

川崎工場や取引先のパワートレーン(主にエンジン・アクスル)の機械加工/熱処理他生産プロセスに関わる生産技術業務を担当。生産技術業務とは新規工法・新技術の試験研究・導入から生産ラインのトラブルシュートまで多岐にわたります。
尚、今回の募集はパワートレーン加工担当ですが、パワートレーン生産技術部はEVコンポーネントの担当部署でもあるため、将来EVコンポーネント担当となる可能性もあります。

Manufacturing engineering jobs which are whole manufacturing process on Engine/Axle machining area incl. heat treatment or other process.
What is ME jobs are very wide range like : from process design with new technology through trial and realization phase to daily trouble shooting of existing machining line.
This position has potential to switch from existing product machining job to EV component job in the future since Powertrain ME has resp. for not only ICE vehicle components but also EV/FCEV vehicle components.

• Your challenge and development

'生産技術は社内の生産部門代表的なポジションを担う場面が多い為、今、あるいは今後どうすべきか。を収集した事実等の情報や経験等に基づき、自身で考え主体的に提案/行動することが求められます。具体的には
- 新規工程/既存工程の改造に関わる工法・装置・レイアウト・予算・日程等の検討や計画立案
- 既存工程のトラブルシューティングや工程改善の計画立案
- 現在/近い将来の主な業務は既存コンポーネントの加工製品をいかに継続していくか。EV製品といかに共存させていくか。が課題
- 上記計画を実現する為の実行計画立案と実行*
- 実行*プロセス。。。各種計画立案/提案・アラインメント > 工法計画・仕様検討/仕様書・実行伺出準備 > 取引先選定・実行予算伺出 > 発注・予算/日程/製作/施工管理
- 他、生産に関わるあらゆるプランニング業務。

 

川崎だけではなく取引先含めた加工ライン生産に関わる全体プロセスを経験する事ができ、且つ個々の製造プロセス詳細についての実務経験を通じ、技術的な知見や関係部署との連携を深めることで、エンジニアと同時にリーダとしての成長が期待できる。
TT/LG Manufacturing Engineering Powertrainのグローバル組織を通じ、(インド PT生技はTE/MG車両系生産技術に組織所属のため組織外ではあるが、つながりはあり。)ドイツ、アメリカ、ブラジルの生産技術との交流。コロナウイルスの影響で現在は中止しているが定期的な合同ワークショップ等への参画。

 

ME often have opportunity to be a representative of production office, so required person is who can think "what we should do for now and future" based on the facts you get or your experiences. And who don't wait instruction / can make proposal or take action.
Example of ME processes are:
- Planning of new process design, existing process modification and realization plan for manuf. process, facilities layout, budget and timeline etc...
- Planning of trouble shooting of existing process and KAIZEN activities.
How to keep existing ICE component production light on and how to keep both product of ICE and EV, FCEV product in near future.
- Realization planning of above topics*
*... Feasibility study, proposal and alighnment > Manuf. process design, spec study, spec book creation > Supplier selection, Budget apprication > order release, budget/time line/construction/ramp up  management

 

You can experience whole Manuf. process not only Kawasaki plant but also supplier.
And you can generate technical knowledge through deep dive into each detail manufacturing process. And grouth of your leader ship behavior is expected.
Unfortunately event like yearly workshop is cancelled due to covid19, but you can communicate to the colleagues who're working globally in Germany, U.S., Brasil ME members in same organization TT/LG. (Ofcourse incl. colleagues in India even though they're difference organization TE/MG as dotted line to TT/LG)
