Vestas is currently seeking to fill a position to strengthen our team of Noise & Tonality Engineers in Northern and Central Europe.

 

 

The WTG Engineering NCE department is responsible to support the regional Service and Construction organisations with technical knowledge to install and operate Vestas WTG onshore and offshore effectively. The department consists of four teams: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil&Noise and Blades Engineering.
The Civil&Noise Engineering team is consisting of 12 experienced, motivated, and dedicated engineers located in Hamburg (GER) and Stettin (POL).

 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage improvement projects on wind turbine generators (WTG) 
  • Supervise the analysis of noise measurement data by your direct colleagues and guide them to point out relevant technical improvement projects
  • Ensure the development, testing and implementation of technical WTG upgrades targeting the reduction of vibrations and consequently noise of various components on WTGs 
  • Act as first point of contact for engineers and other internal stakeholders regarding customer claims
  • Aligning customer communication with internal stakeholders and leading relevant customer meetings 
  • Report in a concise and effective manner to relevant stakeholders on project status and progress
  • Ensure technical knowledge is shared within WTG Engineering teams and global engineering functions to continuously improve Vestas products

 

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in multi-disciplinary, cost-critical and time-critical projects
  • Bachelor/Master´s degree in an Engineering discipline, i.e., in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or similar
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications and advantageous in data analysis software such as Python
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in English and German (verbally and in writing)
  • Experience in the wind sector is desirable but not required
  • Ideally some experience of working with noise, tonality and vibration, i.e. acoustics / NVH
