Job Summary

This position is responsible for credit granting and support Credit Collection Manager, including the consistent application of global credit policy / local collection routine and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers. Business partner of Commercial  sales team, supporting them to build a long term customer relationship. Follow established procedures and guidelines to collect credit information, maintain accurate records, and collect overdue accounts to minimize outstanding debts; Investigate and analyze credit applications and follow-up on outstanding debts, with emphasis in analysis of days receivables outstanding (DSO).
The position is based in Polanco, Mexico City, Mexico.
You will be travelling 10% of your time to our customer sites. 
Tetra Pak could sponsor work visas or relocation for this position. 

What you will do

As Credit & Collections Analyst you will:

  • Secure global policy/local collection routine and reporting compliance for Credit and Collection for Mexico’s market.
  • Market support on issue resolution for Credit and Control & Credit Risk related.
  • Follow up consolidated Accounts Receivable including aging and due for market or group of companies, with emphasis in analysis of days sales outstanding indicator (DSO).
  • Reconciles customers’ accounts as needed to determine discrepancies and cash application issues.
  • Accountable for analyzing accounts associated with changes in receivable figures
  • Analyze and conclude A/R and collection status to identify continuous improvement or potential risk.
  • Collaborate to prepare and/or support on reports on monthly cash flow. 
  • Business Partner collaborator for sales management team, driving financial initiatives to support customer’s demands (e.g. extend payment terms).
  • Support sales team to maximize sales opportunities wherever possible while minimizing risks.
  • Support Sales Team during customer’s visit to improve relationship and issue’s resolution.
  • Apply payment pressure without creating undue friction that can negatively impact customer relations.
  • Make sure all administrative requirements from customers to pay bills are met, as part of the collection cycle
  • Make independent analysis and prepare decision support packs for management.
  • Identify overdue accounts Collection’s Management including overdue analysis, bad debt provision and days sales outstanding (DSO)

Job Summary

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field. Masters Degree in related areas is a plus.
  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in Credit & Collections area
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience having good control on the collection accounts, with strong knowledge of credit & collections to be the support with complex problem solving, with analytical skills on days receivables outstanding indicator (DSO).  
  • Strong SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge excel (dynamic tables, graphics, functions, formulas & macros) 
  • Nice to have Power BI knowledge.
  • Preferably with knowledge of some Customer Relationship Management tool (in SAP)
